Cauldron Prophesy
Quoted from 'Norse Magic' by D.J Conway
Required: a cauldron or pot, a magic working dagger.
"Fill the cauldron half-full of fresh water. Float a few buttercup or marigold petals in it. Light your insense. Be certain that any candles you use do not reflect in the cauldron or shine in your eyes.
Stir the cauldron gently three times with your dagger while chanting softly:
Into the threads of time I cast my thoughts
To catch a glimpse of what will be.
O Gods of Asgard, bring into my mind,
The lovely gift of prophesy.
Lay aside the dagger and look deep into the cauldron. These prophesies may com in immediate visions, strong impressions, or later dreams. This is best done on the Full moon."
